1854 – born in Istanbul, Turkey.
1875 – studied art at the school of drawing and painting in Istanbul (class of Pierre Desire Guillemet), also was the student of marine artist M.Jivanian.
1883 – exhibited his first painting in the photography studio of brothers Abdullah in Istanbul.
Since 1883 – established in Paris, worked in the studio of Jean-Léon Gérôme.
1883-84 – was awarded the knightly order of the Ottoman Empire.
1889 – was graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris.
Until 1910 – participated to the exhibitions of the Society of French painters in Paris.
1892 – won the prize of honor at the international exhibition in Paris.
1900 – won the prize of honor at the World’s fair.
1908 – had one-person exhibition in Paris.
1909 – participated to the mixed exhibition in Munich.
1918 – died in Paris, France.
The works are kept in the NGA (Yerevan), Henri-Martin Museum (Cahors), Nerac Museum (Nerac), Museum of art and industry (Roubaix) , the collection of the presidential residence (Ankara) and several private collections in Armenia and abroad.
