Tadevosian Eghishe (1870-1936)

1870 - born in Vagharshapat (now Echmiadzin).
1885 - graduated from Lazarev’s Seminary, Moscow.
1894 - graduated from the Painting, Sculpture and Architecture College, Moscow. Studied at V. Makovsky and V. Polenov studios.
Since 1896 - participant of the group exhibitions of the "Wanderers", "World of Art" and the “Union of Russian Artists” associations.
1898 - was awarded two prizes.
1916 - organized and headed the Union of Armenian painters. 
Since 1935 - Honored Art worker of Armenia.
1936 - died in Tbilisi.
Works are in the NGA (Yerevan), in art galleries of Tbilisi, Echmiadzin, in the Artistic Fund of Armenia, the funds of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, in private collections in Armenia and abroad.
