1874 - born in Vienna, Austria in Armenian family and spent his youth in Constantinople.
1895 - before moving to Paris, he visited Venice where he studied under Paoletti and at the Academy di Belle Arti.
1890\'s - began making intaglio prints, frequently mixing media to achieve desired effects.
1925 - became a French citizen and began a burst of creative activity in illustrated books.
1926 - a lot of his prints were destroyed in fire.
1942 - in flood were also destroyed many of his works.
Throughout his career he executed over 600 etchings, some in color.
1942- died.
