People` s Artist of the Armenian SSR.
H.Kojoyan was one of the founders of Armenian Soviet drawing who also worked in the genres of painting and applied art.
In 1903-1905 he studied at the school of Anton Azbe in Munich-Germany,then for two years at the St.Petersburg Academy of Arts in Russia.In subsequent years he visited Paris,lived in Moscow and from 1918 in Armenia.
H.Kojoyan assisted Armenian architect A. Tamanian in creating the coat of arms for the Democratic Republic of Armenia.
1959- Died in Yerevan(Armenia).
The works of H.Kojoyan are displayed in the Russian Museum in Leningrad,Museum of the Art of the Oriental Nations in Moscow,Museum of Russian Art in Kiev,State Art Gallery of Armenia.
In 1973 the house-museum of Kojoyan was opened in Yerevan.
